9 Days of Winter Looks: Day 9
The Fur Coat
For our final look from our outdoor shoot we saved the best for last! The fur coat has long been a must have statement piece for fashionistas of every generation, and we couldn’t resist the urge to style this 1980s white fur coat with an unexpected bohemian twist. We have layered up her basic black leggings and knit top with a thick maroon pashmina scarf, over-sized pink pearls, and our Down the Rabbit Hole Fur Coat. For accessories we chose contrasting tan boots, tan gloves, and a cherry blossom floral print vintage scarf. The scarf ties the look together because the golden yellow background coordinates with the boots, and the pink cherry blossoms tie in with the maroon scarf. Pink pearls are a happy medium right between with white of the coat and the maroon scarf, and they are also a glamorous classic! We were able to style with a 1960s dark brown crocodile handbag because the dark brown is repeated in the cherry blossom branches on the scarf. I just love incorporating a printed scarf into an eclectic ensemble when there are various color shades at play, the effect is almost always elegantly sophisticated!
